Scenography&Design: Electronic Shadow, Paris

Founded in PARIS in 2000, Electronic Shadow is a group of research and creation dealing with the integration of the technology into creation and defining new usages and new kind of spaces shared between the physical space and the virtual one. Body and space are used as interfaces, technology become transparent, Electronic Shadow suggests new ways how to use technology in order to modify our perception and extend our abilities.

Electronic Shadow melts its practice on various fields of creation, which go from architecture to new technologies, including the design, graphic design, real-time 3D or video. Electronic Shadow articulates them around the problems of the relationship between the physical world and the new electronic territories.With several years of experience in these fields, Naziha MESTAOUI, Belgian architect (I-tube projects, lightscapes, liquid axis) and Yacine AIT KACI, French multi-media director (CD-Rom Yves the St. Laurent, DVD-Rom of the Louvre, television production) combine their expertise to create a new field, hybrid design.All the projects carried out by Electronic Shadow enrich this search by real applications.: interactive installations, like I-skin or V-med; innovative objects like the “écharpe communicante” presented at the Moma in February, 2001; and architecture with the French Cultural Centre of Palermo and Sicily.In 2003, Electronic Shadow founds the production company iDEALiD which recently develops several productions in the architecture, multimedia, audio-visual and interactive TV's fields.
