Digital features: The new deal

The PS3 worldwide launch on Nov.17 will initiate the official start of Consoles battle. Although high-priced (from $499 to $599), Sony expects to sell out all the 4 million PS3 by year-end and to face to Microsoft and its 5 million Xbox 360s already sold (released on end of 2005, from $299 to $399).
Nintendo should launch his Wii system this fall at a lower price for different performance and use: this strategy could pay regarding to the video game revenue, expected to fall 4% to 5% from 2005 ($10 billion!).
This competition between Sony and Microsoft will take place on different battlefields: Sony's Blu-ray Disc Vs futur MS HD DVD, Game Licences (MS claims Fifa 2007 + Pro Evolution Soccer 6 exclusivity), Game Prices...
About Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment America president Kaz Hirai said recently: "...Every time we go down a path, we look behind and they're right there - we just can't shake these guys. I wish that they would come up with some strategies of their own, but they seem to be going down the path of everything we do. If you look at their strategy in other business areas as well, they tend to do that...."

Sure, the Battle starts...
Last minute: the european launch will be delayed to March 2007.
